How are you getting your CEU’s?
I was doing a little surfing this morning looking for CEU opportunities in the near futrue. As we all know SLP’s are always looking for the best bang for their CEU buck. Right now I am trying to decide if I want to spend the money to go to ASHA 2013, in Chicago this year. They claim you can get at least 2.6 CEU’s if you go to the whole convention. Looking at how you earn CEU’s at ASHA, 2.6 seems like a very lofty goal but not impossible. Just don’t know if I want to spend the money on travel and hotel if I can only get a few CEU’s. Has anyone else had experience with this? My decision will be a little easier when the program comes out but I want to take advantage of the early bird rate. Plus I love Chicago.
In the meantime, I’ve looking for some other CEU opportunities, either on line or books. Has anyone participated in anything really good lately? The School Speech Therapist would love to hear what conferences or workshops you’ve attended recently or plan on attending in the future. Just a comment or two to summarize the experience and if you would recommend it. Please also list companies that offer quality CEU opportunities
During my search, I came across this article on NeuroNet, Therapy Continuing Education Courses | Survey Results This is the results of a survey asking SLP’s what they want in a continuing education experience. I think the results are spot on. NeuroNet is a blog I subscribe to and focuses on making the connection between motor skills and learning.
